New York based practitioner of cosmetic and medical dermatology Dr. Francesca Fusco has 20 years experience under her belt. Today, her Manhattan-based practice focuses on dermatology and dermatologic surgery with an emphasis on skin rejuvenation and hair loss. The seed for her lifelong obsession – to help women overcome skin disorders – was planted during her residency training, where Fusco was overwhelmed by the number of young women experiencing hair fall, and at the time, there were limited solutions.

Named “New York Super Doctor”, for the fourth consecutive year by the New York Times Magazine, Fusco regularly contributes to health and beauty titles – The Hair Book, and Beauty, Web MD, Style Glossy, and Julib where she was awarded Top Dermatologist in 2010 – Fusco knows a thing or two about the science behind beauty.  She is also quoted extensively in high profile magazines: Elle, Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, Shape, Allure, Oprah, InStyle, Fitness, Ladies Home Journal and Cosmopolitan and has appeared on TV shows – CNN, the Today Show, Eyewitness News, CBS News, Fox News – as an expert source.

Her passion for perfection means an added social interest in the education of those new to the field so as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Assistant Attending of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine – where directs an outpatient clinic. Fusco trains medical students with the belief that knowledge sharing and “giving back” is fundamental in her line of work. Awarded a “Best Teacher Award” Fusco by her students at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, she does just that. Driving this belief to a wider audience, Fusco publishes her work in numerous peer-reviewed journals, contributes to health and beauty books – Style on Hand, Growing Younger, Doctors’ Home Remedies, and Cosmo’s Sexiest Beauty Secrets.

A member of The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and The American Chemical Society. Also an official spokesperson for the Skin Cancer Foundation – Fusco shows nothing but true life long dedication to her work.

Other professional rewards & accolades include: the Student Chemistry Award, the Phillip Freilich Memorial prize in Chemistry, the Dreyfuss Prize for outstanding scholarship and the Steuben Silver Medal.
